Job: Legal Cashier
Location: Essex
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 + Benefits
About the Role
We’re looking for a Legal Cashier to join a busy and supportive finance team. This role offers the chance to work within a respected law firm where your contribution will directly support the smooth running of the practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Processing client and office account transactions (BACs, TTs, cheques, and direct debits)
* Preparing and distributing daily bank statements to fee earners
* Reconciling petty cash and other accounts
* Supporting credit control by producing monthly statements
* Assisting with purchase ledger work and month‑end processes
* Managing billing and invoice records
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or legal accounts role
* Strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Attention to detail and excellent organisational ability
* A proactive, team‑oriented approach with the ability to work to deadlines
