Purpose of the Role
As part of the Submissions Team, the primary function of the Bid Manager will be to actively manage and secure tender opportunities, providing clear leadership and direction for all bid team members.
The Bid Manager will lead the development and production of compelling PQQ and Tender responses. A comprehensive understanding of formulating technical responses that meet or exceed client requirements, communicated effectively both in written and visual formats, is essential.
Role Accountabilities
1. Drive and energize the bid team to achieve successful outcomes for each tender, following organizational processes and best practices.
2. Develop coherent bid strategies in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director.
3. Continuously evaluate and adapt winning strategies, focusing team efforts on activities that enhance bid success.
4. Oversee and contribute to tender commercial strategies.
5. Arrange internal meetings such as Kick-off and Settlement, using MS Outlook.
6. Agree on Bid Budget and monitor expenditure with the Head of Management.
7. Ensure adherence to company and group governance and procedures.
8. Produce CRC documentation for issue to the Head of Bid Management.
9. Create action plans and assign responsibilities to team members to complete tasks from meetings/minutes, driving actions to completion.
10. Undertake the corporate approval process in conjunction with the Work Winning Director.
11. Manage communication with clients, employers, and third parties, maintaining clear and professional interfaces.

13. Issue operational, commercial, temporary works, and third-party briefs; identify estimator and planner requirements as needed.
