Key Responsibilities Carry out a wide range of painting and decorating works to a high standard. Prepare surfaces for decoration, including filling, sanding, stripping, wallpaper removal, and minor repairs. Apply paints, varnishes, stains, emulsions, gloss finishes, and specialist decorative coatings. Hang wallpaper and decorative wall coverings in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Mix and match paints and finishes to required standards. Protect surrounding areas, fixtures, and furnishings before commencing work. Diagnose and rectify issues such as flaking, blistering, cracking, and damaged finishes. Read and work from drawings, specifications, schedules, and work orders.
