Transport Planner - Southall Depot
Location: Southall
Salary: From £32,000 per year + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week

We're looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy depot in Southall. You'll be at the heart of the transport operations, ensuring all deliveries and collections run smoothly and efficiently.
Your Role Will Include:
Optimising route planning - ensuring all deliveries and collections are scheduled efficiently and cost-effectively
Ensuring compliance - making sure drivers follow all transport legislation and FORS requirements (e.g., walkaround checks, load security)
Managing site bookings - providing drivers with the necessary booking details for designated locations
Tracking KPIs - ensuring the transport function hits service targets
Supporting drivers & customer service - handling queries and offering assistance over the phone
Generating reports - assisting with transport function reports and performance analysis
Managing fleet compliance - scheduling vehicle maintenance and ensuring services are completed on time
What We're Looking For:
Strong IT skills - proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook
Transport & distribution experience (advantageous but not essential)
Exceptional attention to detail - highly organised with excellent communication skills
Good knowledge of London & South West region
Full driving licence
Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
Proactive, upbeat, and customer-focused - you enjoy problem-solving and keeping things running smoothly
