Job Title: MSK Physiotherapist - Occupational Health
Location: Coventry / Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Right to live & work within the UK is required for this role.
Role Summary
To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio‑psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence‑based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis: triage phone calls, supported self‑management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & workplace assessments.
Although this role requires hybrid working, the post holder must be able to cover on‑site working two days a week from 1pm until 9pm, and the rest of the days at home. The post holder must hold a driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face‑to‑face basis.
* Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to musculoskeletal disorders.
* Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work‑based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
* Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
* Deliver effective evidence‑based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
* Utilise a bio‑psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge Required for the Role
* Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
* Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
* Post‑graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
* Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
* Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
* Driver licence & access to a vehicle.
