Family Solicitor (NQ to 3 PQE)

An established Liverpool practice is looking for an ambitious Family Solicitor to join its respected Family department. This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ or early career solicitor who is passionate about Family and Children law and wants to build strong experience within a supportive team.
You will work closely with the Head of Department and manage a varied caseload across both private and public matters while developing your skills with guidance from experienced colleagues.
About the role:
- Handle a mixed caseload including private and public Family and Children matters
- Assist with domestic abuse and non-molestation work
- Prepare CCMS applications, amendments and POAs
- Attend client meetings, court hearings and off-site appointments
- Provide clear and supportive client care
- Draft legal documents and applications
- Undertake Legal Aid work
- Build strong relationships with clients and external partners
- Support business development and networking activities
- Contribute to a collaborative and professional team environment
What you will need:
- Newly Qualified to around 3 years PQE
- Experience in Family law during training or post-qualification
- Strong time management and willingness to take ownership of a caseload
- Knowledge of Legal Aid is helpful but not essential
- Advocacy experience is desirable
- A proactive attitude and genuine interest in Family law
- Commercial awareness and confidence with clients
- Panel membership or progress toward it is an advantage
