Overview
Our client; a leading regional firm of Chartered Accounts is actively seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their Rotherham office in a role that will utilise their knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service to provide accounts and audit support to varied an impressive client base.
Duties
1. Able to manage and take responsibility for own portfolio of clients
2. Preparation and review of complex company financial statements
3. Preparation and review of interim management accounts
4. Preparation and review of personal tax returns
5. Preparation and review of partnership accounts and returns
6. Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
7. Forecasts and business projections – not essential
8. Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
9. Train members of staff and allocate duties
Experience
10. ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice (Newly Qualified) as an experienced Accounts Senior, Assistant Manager, looking to progress their career further.
11. Must be able to actively manage own workloads and take responsibility for own and team members’ development.
12. Must possess IT skills to operate Office 365, in-house programs, and prepare and develop spreadsheets as necessary. Accounting software experience with Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks will also be useful.
13. Must be fully adept with accounts preparation programs, preferably IRIS.
14. Proven ability in managing a portfolio of mixed clients, and business development in an environment where the emphasis was on accounts, tax, and advisory work is a must.

16. 37.5 hours per week but flexible working around core hours (10:30 am – 4:00 pm)
