Principal Engineer - Geotechnical - UK
Role & Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will be a technical consultant to the team
* Provide technical support on the most complex and challenging below-ground projects
* Prepare temporary works designs and assist colleagues in the design and detailing of high complexity groundworks schemes, including the preparation of calculations, design risk assessments, drawings and kit lists.
* Check high complexity temporary works designs providing feedback to the designer to ensure all designs remain safe, efficient and are of a high quality.
* Develop and certify novel and innovative bespoke applications and designs
* Assist in the production and checking of Technical Approvals (AIPs, Form Cs etc)
Essential
* Degree in Civil / Geotechnical / Structural Engineering
* Chartered Engineer with the ICE or IStructE
* Minimum 10 Years Experience Designing Temporary Works / below ground
* Experience of designing and checking below ground temporary works (including cofferdams and basements)
* Experience working with Wallap, DeepEX, PLAXIS is highly desirable
* Various UK locations available; North West / Scotland / Midlands / South
