As our HR Assistant you’ll play a key role helping our team members deliver this for thousands of people in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. Providing support to our people team, you’ll be involved in all parts of a team members’ journey with us, including recruitment, onboarding and L&D, as well as routine queries. Working closely with our HR Business Partner, you’ll provide meeting support, produce reports and help team members to use our HR and training platforms. You’ll also support our finance team to process the monthly payroll. We are committed to ‘growing our own’ and this role comes with the opportunity to make a career in HR. We will support you with professional development through a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification. What you’ll bring to the team Using your skills and experience you’ll keep our HR systems up to date and accurate, following the right processes to make sure that employee information is kept private and secure. Building good relationships with our team members, from senior executives to apprentices to our people on the ground in our communities, you will help solve problems and provide a friendly customer-focussed service. What we’re looking for * Good general experience of working in a people team at entry level. * Willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of the housing sector. * Good problem solving and decision-making abilities. * Ability to time-manage, set priorities and work to strict deadlines. * Basic understanding of the HR partnership with payroll services in an organisation and the use of HR systems. * Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office to support employees and the business. * Excellent oral and written communications. * CIPD qualification level three or equivalent or desire to work towards this.
