The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
* Teaching a broad range of artistic techniques and media, encouraging experimentation and creativity.
* Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress and achievement.
* Supporting students with GCSE and/or A-Level coursework and exhibitions.
* Contributing to curriculum planning, resource management, and departmental initiatives.
* Supporting extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and exhibitions to enhance student engagement.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art & Design.
* Practical expertise in a variety of media and artistic techniques.
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
