About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Design & Technology (DT) Technician to support secondary schools across Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a practical skillset and previous school-based or workshop experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging DT lessons.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
* Support the DT Teacher with practical classroom activities
* Maintain and organise workshop spaces and resources
* Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use
* Assist with stock control and ordering materials when required
* Support students during practical sessions where appropriate
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role or relevant practical/workshop environment is essential
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Knowledge of health and safety within a DT or workshop setting
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A proactive and hands-on approach
* Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills
* Experience working within a school setting
* Knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, plastics, or electronics
* Familiarity with DT machinery and tools
