Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Data Analytics and Reporting Manager to join our team onsite in Staverton. Here you'll support us in transforming and visualising data into stories that drive engagement, insight, and action. We are looking for someone who can immerse themselves in our operations, build strong relationships across the business, and turn complex operational data into clear insight that drives action, improvement, and informed decision-making. Ontic is more than just a business, we're a community of innovators who pride ourselves on fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. We're committed to excellence, driving us to continuously improve and adapt, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry. The Role As part of Ontic’s global Operations community, you’ll play a key role in driving Operational Excellence, one of our core strategic pillars. You’ll support the effective deployment of Ontic’s assets- inventory, capital, and people- while helping the business deliver against customer and stakeholder expectations. This is a hands-on and collaborative role that bridges technical expertise with business understanding. You’ll act as a bridge between data and the business, spending time engaging with stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, planning, and leadership teams to understand challenges, ask the right questions, and ensure data is being used to solve real operational problems. You’ll define, create, and maintain data models, reports, and visualisations that provide meaningful insight across global sites. A key part of the role is helping establish consistent metric definitions, shared terminology, and aligned ways of working, ensuring operational data is trusted, understood, and actionable. This role will be a go-to lead and subject matter expert for our existing data analysts; providing guidance, setting standards, and influencing best practice across the team. You’ll contribute to data governance, audit data pipelines, and maintain the accuracy of Ontic’s supply chain data dictionary. Ultimately, you’ll transform data into valuable insights that empower leaders and teams to make better, faster, and smarter decisions. This is a role for someone who wants to influence change, shape how data is used across the business, and help define the future of operational analytics at Ontic. About You At Ontic, our culture is integral to making sure we enjoy our work and deliver for our customers. While we look for the right skillset, we’re also looking for someone who will thrive within our culture of recognition, empowerment, and shared success. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of technical expertise and operational understanding, ideally gained within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You’ll be comfortable engaging with stakeholders and individuals on the shop floor as well as confidently presenting insights to senior leaders and executives. You’ll have a strong understanding of operational and supply chain KPIs and be experienced in transforming raw data into insight that drives action. You’ll naturally ask “why” as well as “what,” and you’ll be motivated by seeing data lead to tangible improvements. From a technical perspective, you’ll have experience with data warehousing, modelling, and analytics, including strong SQL capability and dimensional modelling (Kimball). Experience with cloud data platforms (ideally Snowflake), DBT, and Power BI — including DAX, M-Query, and DevOps lifecycle awareness — will be important in enabling you to deliver at pace and with quality. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. You’ll be proactive, organised, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, while maintaining high standards of data quality, integrity, security, and compliance, including GDPR and PII principles.
