6 month FTC - 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting a 6 month contract Accounts Assistant working 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, to support our Accounts team in the day-to-day running of the department. Role includes supplier invoices, supporting the preparation of packs, creating jobvs for our national customers and assisting with financial reporting. If successful, you’ll be joining a friendly, focused, supportive and professional team.
The successful candidate will become part of the success of a company which is making a real difference to the UK’s circular economy and to the fight to reduce the impact of global climate change.
The Duties
* Process and input supplier invoices accurately using Sage accounting software
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies
* Assist in the preparation of weekly packs
* Support financial reporting activities, including data gathering and formatting reports
* Support with month-end procedures
* Carry out National sales duties, including creating and managing jobs for national customers, ensuring timely and accurate job creation and job tracking
* Communicate with suppliers to resolve queries regarding invoices or payments
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documentation
* Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks and general support to the Finance team
What we’re looking for
* A health and safety champion, you will lead safety performance
* Ability to use Sage (or similar accounting software)
* Good telephone and communication abilities
* The ability to manage changing and conflicting priorities
* Strong IT skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Keen attention to detail and accuracy
