HVAC Lead Location - Bridgwater
Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for the construction engineering works for the HVAC equipment installation
2. Reactive issue resolution within the bounds of the approved design
3. Be able to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, procedures and processes
4. Delegation of responsibilities to CE’s/Works Coordination Leads
5. Lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice
6. Ultimately accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the construction activities
7. Define boundary of scope of works
8. Liaising with necessary SME’s and client counterparts
9. Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and other documentation
10. Ensure documents are kept UpToDate and reviewed on a minimum 6 monthly basis
11. Ownership and driving of deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status >90% first time accepted criteria
12. Prioritisation and ownership of documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan. E.g. T-3 months accepted prior to works
13. Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures
14. Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy
15. Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project
16. Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements
17. Review and feedback on suitability of level of resource to effectively run the support function
Key Deliverables:
1. Deliver Construction Workpacks to support the Alliance programme
2. Enable the use of the Procon system to support the construction works and progress reporting
3. Enable the requesting and compliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems
4. Enable the co-ordination of safe access routing to workfaces to support the construction works
5. Enable the topographical and other surveying required to support the construction works
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
Qualifications
* Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
* Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)
* Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
Experience
* Experienced in on-site HVAC engineering support
* Proven track record in nuclear power preferred
* Experience working on major construction projects
* Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
