Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Secondary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £80 - £90 Per day Job Description: Job Duties: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help Helping students with personal care and mobility needs Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies Collaborating with other professionals, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of SEN students Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN Understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions Education: Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 TA Certificate) Experience: Prior experience working in a school or educational setting Experience supporting students with SEN Knowledge and Skills: Good understanding of SEN practises and principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards students with SEN Preferred Qualifications: First Aid certification Makaton or PECS training Working Conditions: Work is predominantly indoors within a school setting May involve assisting students with physical disabilities or medical needs Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional additional hours for meetings or events All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
