About The Role
We have a great opening within our Derbyshire Dementia Advice and Support Service to help lead our services team and be a trusted expert externally, working at a high level on the delivery of the dementia strategy within the area.You will be working alongside another Local Services Manager and with a team consisting of Dementia Advisors and a Group Facilitator.
This role is one that requires someone who can thrive on delivering within a complex and demanding contract that is highly regarded within the region. As the Local Services Manager you will be someone who understands influencing, networking, and collaboration, willing to work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for people with dementia.This role will require you to work alongside and at times in partnership with the Derby City Dementia Service and its delivery.
Please note that there is an expectation of this role for the Local Services Manager to be physically present within the area at required times and that expenses and mileage will only be paid from the boarder of Derbyshire.
Interviews will take place on the 28th July.
As a Local Services Manager you will:
1. Be someone who can demonstrate the ability to build and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the lived experience of people with dementia is shared widely so that it can influence decision making, service quality and delivery, in line with our strategic priorities.
2. Have knowledge of key roles in the Health & Social Care sector and is confident in managing relationships within this sector, to ensure we are the go-to organisation for all things dementia related.
3. Possess experience as a people manager ( this can also include volunteers)having led teams to deliver high performance outcomes and work collaboratively to provide an excellent service.
4. Role model our values in all you do, who can work effectively with internal teams to achieve mutual outcomes.
5. Have experience of successfully managing change from start to end and will need to be highly organised and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
6. Be someone who can work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
7. Have a positive and proactive attitude to challenging situations and problem solving, using a collaborative and engaging approach with your team.
8. Be flexible, adaptable and positive when faced with the challenges leading a team of people passionate about improving outcomes for people with dementia.
What you’ll focus on:
9. Leading an experienced team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the current contracts
10. Support the Cadent role within the area, a distinct role that works between both Derbyshire and Derby City
11. Work closely with external partners and commissioners, attending meetings and networks and ensuring that people affected by dementia have a voice within the region
