We wish to appoint an outstanding dedicated professional to work as a peripatetic Local Authority Officers within our Partnership Team, working in collaboration with Nottinghamshire secondary schools/academies, local authority teams, alternative education providers, and other agencies to reduce fixed term suspensions and permanent exclusions. This role will include working in schools delivering staff training, holding consultations, providing support and guidance and undertaking mediation work with young people and their families. You will need experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and those with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will have a key role in the Partnership Team but will also need to work independently at times as there is a degree of lone working. You will require a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills. You will need to show a passion for inclusive practice in schools and show empathy and understanding when communicating with education staff, parents/carers, children and young people and other professionals, as well as being able to challenge when necessary using a strength based approach.
