Working with the Finance Manager, this role provides essential support to Group Service functions with both their financial accounting and management reporting, alongside their “purchase to pay” process and other adhoc tasks. Key Responsibilities Ensure monthly accounting areas of responsibility are completed to enable timely and accurate reporting to both Group, highlighting areas of concern for the business. Provide tailored management reporting commentary as and when required Challenge variances against budget, forecast and prior periods to ensure clear understanding of the reasoning Ensure all reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards Partner with Group Services Management to ensure they fully understand the impact of their results Support driving excellent performance within the Group services finance team, sharing knowledge and upskilling team members Identifying areas for potential improvements and working with the Finance Manager to ensure ‘best in class’ financial processes are achieved Prepare regular financial forecasts Provide support in annual budget submission process Ad Hoc analysis and support as required Support the year end audit as required Key Skills Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA and ACA) is essential Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines Strong attention to detail, confidence to challenge colleagues in order to obtain answers and where necessary, challenge the status quo Demonstrable experience of working in a management or financial accounting position, preferably within a large organisation or an IT environment Be inquisitive, with a desire to understand the business, its drivers and how they impact the financial performance of the business Ability to work independently Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with finance and non-finance colleagues Prior use of MS Navision would be useful We’ve put everything in place to ensure you thrive.
