What We're Looking For

* Excellent communicator with enthusiasm for applying machine learning to the nuclear sector, with experience (commercial or academic) in fusion or fission.
* Experience working with clients through technical pre-sales and solution delivery of a machine learning platform and services.
* Ability to understand client challenges and opportunities, and develop innovative applications of digiLab's technology.
* Creative problem-solver with ability to balance technical work and client interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Positive teamworking spirit, thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance competing priorities.


What You Will Be Doing With Us

* Provide customers with technical support throughout the pre-sales process.
* Design and scope technical solutions; collaborate with internal teams to produce proposals with cost and time estimates.
* Deliver digiLab services and products through ongoing technical support and domain expertise.
* Collaborate with Business Development & Sales, R&D, Product Development and Project Delivery to provide client feedback and ensure successful delivery.
* Utilise domain knowledge and customer relationships to identify new business opportunities.
* Stay up to date with sector developments including competitors, trends and technologies.
* Provide demonstrations/presentations, attend events/conferences, create articles and enhance digiLab visibility and credibility.
* Communicate the value and benefits of digiLab's products and services to potential customers.
* Deepen understanding of digiLab's products and services, identify sector challenges that The Uncertainty Engine can address, and share insights to shape product development and team learning.


Skills & Experience

* Experience (through postgraduate study or commercially) in fusion or fission or a closely related industry.
* STEM degree (engineering or physics) highly desirable.
* Desire to master data science, machine learning, uncertainty quantification.
* Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders with varying technical levels.
* Strategic mindset to recognise and analyse opportunities and capabilities.
* Interest in business and partnerships; keen to develop commercial relationships and guide product and technology to capture market opportunities.


Nice-to-haves

* Technical domain expertise in nuclear fission, mechanical, materials, digital, or systems engineering.
* Computational data analysis experience (Python and modelling) an asset.
* Previous experience in a technical pre-sales, business development, consultancy or similar role.


Location

Onsite at our Oxford office (Culham Innovation Centre). Frequent travel to client sites and attendance at conferences in the UK and occasionally internationally.
