Here at GXO we are looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our GXO Supply Chain operation at our Wellingboroughsite. You will be responsible for a team of drivers, providing coaching and support to ensure operational targets are met or exceeded. You will also ensure strict adherence to company processes, Health & Safety standards, and all O Licence legislation and requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position, working on any 5 out of 7 days, predominantly Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, as this is logistics after all. What youll do on a typical day: Respond to unforeseen events across the shifts in a timely and professional manner, minimising any negative impact by effectively utilising available resources Investigate customer complaints relating to driving standards and address them in line with HR policies and procedures. Conduct gate checks as required Support people management processes, including return-to-work meetings, welfare meetings, flexible working requests, investigations, and other employee relations tasks Use Tachomaster and DCRS to manage driver infringements, and liaise with Driver Trainers to agree outcomes Use Microlise Admin and reporting tools to monitor driver performance, update trackers, and action findings as required What you need to succeed at GXO: Previous experience in a transport or complex logistics environment is essential Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading a team of drivers and staff Thorough understanding of EU Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive (WTD), and transport legislation Competence in using Transport Management Systems (TMS), tracking software, and MS Office (especially Excel) Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy for reporting, compliance, and auditing Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving, time-critical environment We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
