Rate of Pay: £29.41 - £40.10 per hour
Summary:
We are hiring an Assistant Team Manager to join the Placements Service within Safeguarding & Family Support (Children's Services). This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high-quality services for children, young people, and foster carers.
Responsibilities:
* Support and lead a team within the Placements Service in a safeguarding environment
* Provide guidance and clear decision-making in complex cases
* Ensure compliance with fostering legislation, statutory frameworks, and childrens social care policies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, foster carers, and external partners
* Monitor performance, manage risk, and contribute to service improvement
Essential Requirements:
* Strong experience managing staff and handling complex safeguarding situations
* Comprehensive knowledge of fostering services, statutory frameworks, and childrens social care legislation
* Ability to lead effectively in a challenging environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

* This role requires an Enhanced DBS
