Operations Manager - Student Experience

* Annual Salary: Dependent on experience £50-55k
* Location: West Sussex
* Job Type: Full-time, permanent - 40 hours a week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Operations manager to join an inspiring team in a fantastic business setting. This role combines managing multi-disciplinary support functions with a strong track record in customer service, collaborative leadership, innovative vision and effective operational management in a demanding 24/7 environment. This role will focus on all student facing aspects creating an all inspiring environment and experience. Day-to-day duties of the role:

* Report to the Director of Operations and lead the domestic operations and student experience, ensuring excellence in all related matters.
* Oversee facilities management (support services) to provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for students, staff, and visitors.
* Manage day-to-day operations and future development of domestic and student experience services, ensuring smooth and optimised long-term operations.
* Collaborate with senior leaders and the COO’s team to deliver coordinated facilities support.
* Lead and inspire a team of around 50 staff across various departments including Cleaning, Laundry, Wardrobe, Portering, and Transport.
* Engage with all school stakeholders.
* Manage operational budgets in consultation with senior management and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Degree/HND level education or equivalent.
* Proven experience in leading and delivering change and service improvement initiatives.
* Strong experience in facilities management and a senior customer-facing role.
* Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills (Office 365).
* Strong project and programme management capabilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work within tight financial constraints and manage budgets effectively.
* A clean driving licence; D1 and MIDAS qualification desirable.
