Are you the person who spots a better way of doing things before anyone else?
Our client is a fast:growing, private equity:backed, multi:site business with ambitious acquisition plans and an exciting transformation agenda. As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a proactive Senior Management Accountant to join their high:performing finance team.
Reporting to an ambitious and forward:thinking Head of Finance, youll work alongside another Senior Management Accountant and become a key member of a collaborative team responsible for delivering insightful reporting, improving processes and driving automation across the finance function.
This is far more than a traditional management accounting role. Its an opportunity to combine strong technical accounting with advanced Excel, systems thinking and emerging AI technologies to help shape how finance supports a rapidly growing business.
What youll be doing
Taking ownership of a portfolio of management accounts, delivering accurate monthly reporting, P and L analysis and commercial commentary Reviewing forecasts, journals and reporting packs, ensuring consistency, quality and accuracy across the finance team Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes Partnering with operational leaders, providing meaningful financial insight to support decision making Coaching and supporting junior members of the finance team Driving finance transformation through process improvement, automation and smarter ways of working Developing Excel models, Power Query solutions and AI:enabled reporting to improve efficiency and insight Supporting acquisitions, finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives Maintaining high:quality documentation and audit:ready working papers
About You
Were looking for someone who enjoys improving processes as much as producing numbers.
Youll be:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified An experienced Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant within a fast:paced commercial environment Highly proficient in Excel, with experience of Power Query and data manipulation Comfortable using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to automate tasks and improve reporting Naturally curious, analytical and solutions focused A confident communicator who enjoys working with both finance and operational stakeholders Someone who takes ownership, challenges the status quo and actively looks for opportunities to improve performance
