An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Ward Sister / Charge Nurse to join our dynamic friendly surgical nursing team on Surgical Assessment Ward for 12 months secondment cover.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our well established nursing team with a commitment to delivering high quality individualised patient centred care.
The role will provide the successful applicant with a level of clinical leadership and the opportunity to enhance their management skills.
Evidence of at least 2 years post registration experience at a senior staff nurse level within a surgical environment is essential. The successful applicant will also possess the relevant knowledge and skills in managing, teaching and supervising junior members of staff.

Main duties will include the assessment, planning, implementation and ongoing individualised holistic care for our patients.
The ward delivers a high standard of clinical care, with seven day senior nurse coverage to promote safe and effective care for our patients. This area will equip nurses with an abundance of skills in high quality essential nursing care, specialist skills and also managing & prioritising workload.
