Commercial Contracts | 1-4 PQE | International Firm | London
We are instructed by a leading international law firm to recruit an Associate (1–4 years' PQE) into its commercial practice.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team advising on a wide range of commercial and trading arrangements for clients operating across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, the US and the Middle East. The practice has a strong reputation in the UK market for delivering clear, practical advice on complex commercial issues.
The role will involve drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, such as distribution and supply arrangements, agency structures, franchising models, manufacturing and logistics contracts, licensing (both technology and non-technology), IT services, procurement and sourcing arrangements, as well as marketing, sponsorship and advertising agreements.
The team acts for clients across numerous industries, including financial services, consumer-facing businesses, technology, sports and media, hospitality and leisure, manufacturing, agribusiness and transport. A strong understanding of clients' commercial priorities and operating environments underpins the advice provided.
The firm places a strong emphasis on commercial awareness, with many lawyers bringing previous in-house or secondment experience. The team is also forward-looking in its approach, closely tracking legal and market developments to ensure advice remains relevant as commercial practices evolve.
This position would suit an associate with solid technical foundations, strong drafting skills and a commercial mindset, who is looking to develop their career within an internationally focused and collaborative environment.
