Hours of work: 21.25 per week.
Working pattern: Part‑time, term‑time only (39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave).
As the position is part‑time/term‑time only, the salary is pro‑rata.
Fixed‑term contract dependent on the enrolment of the student at the school.
Closing date: Thursday 7 May 2026.
We are looking for an Additional Needs Assistant to work with a child to help them achieve their personal targets in order to be successful in a mainstream setting.
Responsibilities
* Assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupils to whom you are assigned, enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
* Support playground/break time, accompany children on educational visits, and be prepared to administer basic first aid and record keeping.
Qualifications
* Preferably have experience working with children with SEND; full training will be provided.
* Be aspirational for the pupils’ learning and development.
* Have a positive attitude.
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018
The school will need to ensure that it is not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.
