Your Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will:
* Keep production running smoothly by minimising downtime and delivering effective solutions.
* Upgrade and modify equipment to boost performance and reliability.
* Lead and support project installations, working closely with management on new initiatives and continuous improvement.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring production stays on track.
* Conduct planned maintenance and document all completed tasks.
* Help refine and improve the Preventive Maintenance Programme (PPM).
* Champion a safe working environment and promote best practices in health and safety.
* Identify and resolve issues at source, implementing long-term solutions.
* Work collaboratively with the production team to prioritise maintenance tasks.
What You'll Need
* NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance technician, mechanical fitter, mechanical maintenance engineer, etc.
* Ideally, experience in heavy industry (chemicals, steel, power, oil & gas, metals, etc.).
* Hands-on experience with pumps, valves, and ideally regulators.

* Hourly Rate: £20.50 - £22.90 per hour (equivalent to £39,975 - £44,655 per year).
* Plenty of Overtime: Overtime paid at enhanced rates, with flexible on-call requirements that can often be handled remotely.
* Generous Benefits: Company pension, 150 hours of holiday plus bank holidays, and the potential for two annual bonuses.
* Convenient Hours: Standard 37.5-hour week, typically Monday to Thursday.
