Summary/objective The Workshop Technician plays a crucial role in calibrating and maintaining cutting-edge ADAS Technologies in vehicles. This position requires a strong background in automotive electrical systems and is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of vehicles. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles wiring, lighting, and other related components. Conduct comprehensive electrical system checks using diagnostic equipment and tools. Repair and replace faulty electrical components and wiring as needed. Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians within Repairify to ensure comprehensive vehicle diagnosis and repair. Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies, trends and best practices in ADAS and auto electronics. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance processes to customers in a clear and understandable manner. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working on vehicles and handling electrical systems. Calibrate ADAS components such as cameras, sensors, radars, and LiDAR systems in various vehicle models. Diagnose and troubleshoot ADAS system errors, conducting necessary repairs and adjustments as required. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience working with automotive electronics, ADAS systems, or related technologies Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, components, and diagnostic tools, as well as mechanical aptitude Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and schematics. Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Preferred Qualifications: Formal training or certification in automotive electrical systems Prior experience with vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, or automotive repair Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly when dealing with intricate electronic components. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy parts and equipment. Effective communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and provide technical assistance. Supervisory responsibilities This role has no supervisory responsibilities Work environment This job may operate inside an automotive repair shop environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Physical demands Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels. Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Requires standing stooping and kneeling for extended periods of time. Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
