Software Development Lead

We have teamed up with an industry professional who are looking for a Software Development Lead role to join their team! They are expanding due to a restructure in order to build a stronger, more sustainable in-house engineering function.
This role will lead two development teams (a technical platform team and a feature-focused product team) and you’ll balance hands-on development with team leadership within an Agile environment.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading and developing two Agile software teams
* Introducing and embedding TDD and modern engineering practices
* Improving estimation, delivery tracking, and reporting (Jira)
* Being a hands-on leader with the ability to
* Creating a people-first, high-performing engineering culture
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience leading software development teams
* Lead a team of 4 to 6 engineers working with a modern tech stack that includes .NET Core, Azure, React, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, and Docker.
* Experience with Agile delivery and Jira
* Passion for TDD (Test Driven Development), unit testing, and quality engineering
* A people-focused leader
Salary up to 70K, Hybrid working (3 days a week in Wilmslow), 28 days holiday including bank holidays, Pension Scheme, and much more!
