Warehouse & Product Decontamination Operatives
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 or 09:30–18:00
gap personnel are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives and Product Decontamination Operatives on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation in Plymouth. These roles offer a great opportunity to join a supportive team within an essential healthcare service. Temporary positions with potential to become permanent.
Duties
* Coordinate equipment orders for delivery, installation, and collection.
* Pick, check and prepare stock accurately.
* Identify and report any order or stock discrepancies.
* Support technicians with selecting and recording stock.
* Handle equipment used by individuals with different needs and vulnerabilities.
* Receive and inspect returned medical equipment.
* Clean and disinfect items such as beds, mattresses, and mobility aids to infection control standards.
* Use approved cleaning products and follow safety procedures.
* Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant.
* Report faults or damage to the relevant team
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in a busy warehouse or logistics environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* IT literate and able to learn new systems.
* Stock control experience (advantageous but not essential)
* Previous professional cleaning experience (healthcare or industrial preferred).
* Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards (training provided).
* Reliable, physically fit, and able to handle heavy items safely.
* Good attention to detail and team-focused attitude.
