Shop Manager - Alloa

To be considered for this position, you should have management experience within a retail or customer-facing environment.

You will work various shifts, which will change weekly and include weekends (when rostered), between 5:00 am and 5:00 pm. The schedule is flexible, requiring availability for any 5 days out of 7.

39 hours per week (additional hours may be available).

£31,576 per annum plus an excellent benefits package (see below).

Bayne’s the Family Bakers has a proud history of serving local communities for over 70 years. We use traditional baking methods to produce fresh, mouthwatering products sold exclusively in our Bakery Shops.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead to maintain high standards of behaviour and interactions with customers and colleagues.
* Manage colleague scheduling for efficient shop trading.
* Conduct reviews for new employees within their 12-week probation period and regular reviews thereafter.
* Ensure staff are aware of and adhere to legal responsibilities.
* Prioritize health & safety for colleagues in accordance with company policy and legislation.
* Maintain high standards of shop property, equipment, fixtures, and fittings; report issues promptly.
* Follow company cash and security regulations.
* Comply with all legal requirements.
* Display only quality products and maintain stock rotation procedures.
* Update the Area Manager on business developments.
* Encourage colleagues to share ideas to improve the business.
* Manage colleagues in a fast-paced, customer service environment.
* Remain “hands-on” by serving, baking off, making filled rolls, hot drinks, etc.


Skills and Experience

* Previous retail supervisory experience, especially in the food-to-go industry.
* Confident and enthusiastic demeanor.
* Experience in achieving KPIs and profitability.
* Experience managing stock.
* Flexibility to work between 5 am and 5 pm, Monday to Sunday, any 5 days from 7.
