Female Housekeeping Shift Leader - Roehampton, London

Hours: Shift times 06.00 - 14.30 / 14.00 - 22.30, 7 days a week
The Roehampton Club is one of London’s premier private members multisport clubs. We offer a wide range of sports including Golf, tennis, Health Club and Squash and a wide catering provision, delivered to the highest standards of quality. A significant investment is being made to enhance the standards across the club with the goal of achieving excellence in all areas.
We are seeking to recruit a Female Shift Leader. The role would be to support the housekeeping Management team by co-operating and performing to the optimum best potential on an everyday basis. The role will specifically require you to assist with maintaining the upkeep of the female changing room and assisting users of the changing room during opening hours
Outline
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager (or Housekeeping Supervisor in her /his absence) you will be required to fulfil a variety of roles around the facility throughout a working day. Shifts work over the seven days of the week and bank holidays are included. Must be a team player able to work well with colleagues.
Job Description
* Undertake cleaning of the female locker rooms and other communal or sports areas in accordance with the agreed cleaning schedules/ Housekeeping SOP and to meet required standards for Health & Safety/ Hygiene regulations.
* Ensure the communal areas of the Roehampton Club are always presented to the highest standards.
* To undertake laundry duties as directed by daily shift cleaning schedule.
* Assist with the collection of laundry and other garments and to prepare these items for collection by the Club cleaning contractor.
* Assist members and guests who require information/request service in the female locker rooms, in a polite, friendly and helpful manner.
* Assist the management team with training, maintenance of standards, and the promotion of good working practices and standard keeping in the Housekeeping team
* Full training will be given, both upon joining and on an ongoing basis, plus we have career progression for able candidates.
Whilst full training will be given, the successful candidate must be able to offer the following key criteria:
* Experience of working in a similar environment for at least 1 year with references available from employers recognized for their high-quality standards.
* Experience of helping to supervise a team would be an asset.
* Proven history of high working output, producing work of the highest quality standard, being a positive member of a professional cleaning team and possessing a strong desire to be the best.
* Experience of Health and Safety, COSHH, Manual Handling. (Training will be provided).
* Professionally well groomed.
* Willing to work as part of a team, whilst using own initiative when required.
* Thorough understanding of Health & Safety and hygiene practices at work.
