Transport Supervisor Location - SwanleySchedule - AM shiftPOSITION SUMMARYAs a Transport Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to support the Transport and Compliance Managers and help with the transport operational running of our depot site in Swanley. You will help the Transport Manager on shift and be responsible for working with our driver teams to ensure a timely dispatch. You will conduct effective driver briefs and debriefs and support the management of safety and legal compliance. You will be working the AM shift Monday to Friday, so expected start time will be in the early mornings (5/6AM).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES● Ensure that every worker is fully compliant with legislative requirements● Brief and debrief drivers to ensure that all instructions for their allocated runs are understood and actioned.● Review driver daily check sheets with the drivers, ensuring that all vehicles are roadworthy, and any defects raised during vehicle checks are completed and all accidents/damage reported daily.● On your shift you must ensure all driver and vehicle information is kept up to date on all relevant systems.● Ensuring all new drivers (FTE, Agency) are licenced, checked, assessed and inducted prior to first shift.● Ensure every driver is given correct route and delivery/collection point risk assessment, ensuring the vehicle allocated is correct for all duties (height, weight, load capacity and any restrictions).● Managing and monitoring vehicle maintenance and service planner as well as VOR to ensure vehicles are fit for the road.● Completing a minimum of 10% Hotspot checks, quality assurance, checking drivers are completing daily walk round vehicle checks correctly.● Monitoring & managing information from the vehicle telematics system.● Planning routes via PVT system, ensuring all routes are optimised.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / LICENCES● Transport experience (essential)● Worked within a Similar Transport Operation● Experience using Transportation compliance software ● Knowledge of Excel● Holding Driver CPC - preferred● Self-motivated, with an ability to hit and exceed targets● Excellent communication skills● Excellent customer service skills, as you will deal day-to-day with all enquiries and cultivate relationships with customers and drivers aligned with the Operations team● Ability to work under pressure and efficiently within time constraints.Benefits Package● Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year● PerkBox: Employee Discount and Wellbeing Platform● Annual leave: 25 days ● Accident & Life Insurance: 1 x annual salary to 4 x annual salary (Linked to Employee Pension contribution %) ● Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay ● Employer contribution to pension insurance (Employee 3% & Employer 5% or Employee 4% & Employer 6%)● Accident & Death Insurance.ABOUT DIVERSEYDiversey’s mission is to protect and care for people through leading hygiene, infection prevention, and cleaning solutions.
