My client is a fast-growing, VC-backed Tech company building an all-in-one platform redefining how commercial property works. Early-stage but well-funded, moving fast, and now bringing in senior engineering talent to level up their infrastructure.
The Role
A high-ownership contract position where you'll be the sole DevOps engineer in the business. You own the AWS environment end-to-end — not just keeping the lights on, but actively improving security posture, tightening pipelines, and driving the company toward ISO 27001 certification. Full autonomy, real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
* Owning and improving the AWS infrastructure — reliability, cost-efficiency, and sensible architecture
* Writing and maintaining Terraform to keep all cloud resources codified and version-controlled
* Building out and refining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
* Driving security forward — access controls, secrets management, practical policies for ISO 27001
* Evaluating and introducing tooling to improve speed and reliability across the dev workflow
* Acting as the primary point of contact when infrastructure issues arise
What They're Looking For
* Expert-level AWS and Terraform — non-negotiable, this is the core of the role
* Strong CI/CD experience, specifically GitHub Actions
* Proven experience working toward ISO 27001 or similar security standards
* Comfortable as the sole DevOps person — full ownership, no hand-holding
* Clear communicator who can explain infrastructure decisions to non-DevOps colleagues
* Kubernetes experience is a plus
* Start-up mindset — practical, keeps it simple, avoids over-engineering
What You Get
* Full ownership of a greenfield infrastructure improvement project
* Real influence at a well-funded company on a strong growth trajectory
* Remote working environment
