We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional, holding a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development, to provide 1-to-1 careers guidance to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring every student receives the personalised support they need to make informed decisions about further education, training, and employment pathways.
Key Responsibilities For This Role
* Deliver high-quality, impartial 1-to-1 careers guidance to students, with a focus on their transition to college, apprenticeships, or employment.
* Maintain accurate records of guidance interviews and student progression plans.
* Contribute to the delivery of our whole-academy Igniting Futures careers curriculum.
* Work closely with the wider careers and personal development team to promote careers education across the academy.
* Engage with external agencies, training providers, colleges, and employers to broaden students’ understanding of local and national labour market opportunities.
* Support key events including careers fairs, employer encounters, and work experience placements.
About The Academy
Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11–16-year-old students. We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Holds a Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development (essential)
* Has experience delivering 1-to-1 guidance to young people
* Understands the challenges and opportunities facing students in Years 7–11
* Is passionate about social mobility, raising aspirations, and supporting disadvantaged learners
* Is an excellent communicator, capable of building strong relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders
* Thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
