We are seeking a Head RVN to join our dedicated, experienced, friendly, and supportive team, where patient care is at the core. This well-equipped branch features digital radiography, dental radiography, multiparameter anesthetic monitors, endoscopy and bronchoscopy, full lab equipment, CT, and two theatres. The clinic offers a separate cat waiting area, separate cat and dog wards, and an isolation facility.
This role is 40 hours per week, full-time. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
Client care:
* Deliver exceptional care to clients, each and every day.
Patient Care
* Support the vet with operations or procedures when required.
* Carry out nurse-led appointments.
* Responsible for patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges for procedures as directed by the Vet or Lead Vet.
* Ensure patient records are accurate and up to date.
* Complete all pre- or post-operation activities.
* Provide daily care for patients, including walking, toileting, and feeding.
* Handle patient transfers to out-of-hours care providers or for enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medications as required.
* All patient care is carried out under the guidance of the Vet/Lead Vet in line with clinical competence.
Standards And Compliance
* Ensure clinical compliance with all regulatory and practice standards.
* Implement appropriate veterinary and nursing standards in the practice.
* Maintain health and safety compliance.
Communications
* Hold daily briefings and coordinate team activities for effective clinic operation.
* Communicate timely clinical updates to the veterinary and nursing teams.
* Conduct engaging clinical meetings with the nursing team.
Clinical Leadership
* Support and conduct clinical coaching as needed.
* Share best clinical practices within and across clinics.
* Train and develop the nursing team.
* Clarify responsibilities and daily tasks for the clinical team.
* Provide clinical support and coaching to Veterinary Nurses.
* Lead nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
* Mentor graduates and coach the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.
Clinical Administration
* Take samples under vet guidance.
* Ensure correct lab test procedures.
* Manage stock and place orders.
* Escalate issues to the Practice Manager or Vet/Lead Vet.
* Prepare the back of house for procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Registered nurse with RCVS.
* Leadership skills in a clinical setting.
