This exciting permanent position is ideal for individuals interested in oncology, particularly blood cancer and other blood disorders.
This specialist role supports high-quality patient care on the Haematology Ward, Ambulatory Care Unit, and Outpatient clinics, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and specialist nurses.
You will be supported by an Oncology Team Lead and a Band 7 Dietitian for Advanced Cellular Therapy. The team currently includes approximately 10 Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants. OUH has commenced CAR-T therapy with additional funding received to support this initiative.
We encourage all Band 6 Dietitians to allocate 20% of their time for personal and service development.

The position is based at the Department of Therapies and Dietetics within a purpose-built cancer and surgical centre at Churchill Hospital, Oxford.
Responsibilities include providing dietetic services to patients at Churchill Hospital, focusing on blood cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and related complications. The post involves working closely with a team of oncology dietitians and providing cover for a Band 5 Dietitian on the Oncology rotation.
Key duties involve:
* Managing dietetic care for inpatients on the Haematology Ward and outpatient stem cell transplant clinics
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
* Leading departmental projects
* Advising and teaching medical and nursing staff on dietetic management of blood cancer patients
* Developing departmental guidelines based on current evidence
