Scrub Practitioner – Obstetrics & Gynaecology Theatres
Join Lancashire Teaching Hospitals as a Scrub Practitioner covering the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Theatres while supporting our Colorectal MDT.
Responsibilities
* Assist in a range of surgical procedures including obstetric, gynaecological and colorectal operations.
* Prepare and maintain the theatre environment in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
* Support the surgical team, manage instruments and equipment, and ensure smooth workflow.
* Provide mentorship and support to trainees, junior staff and other health‑care professionals.
* Engage with new ideas and contribute to service development and best practice within the department.
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
* Scrub experience in obstetrics, gynaecology or colorectal surgery.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, flexibility and a passion for patient‑centred care.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
