TEXO Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Facilities Planner to join one of our external clients based in Hartlepool.
This is a permanent position supporting the effective planning, coordination and delivery of facilities maintenance and infrastructure activities across a complex, live operational site. Operating within a ports and heavy industrial environment, the role will work closely with facilities management, engineering and operational teams to ensure that buildings, utilities and site infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently and in full compliance with statutory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain planned and preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure.
* Plan and coordinate facilities work across a live operational environment, ensuring minimal disruption to port and industrial activities.
* Support reactive maintenance planning and prioritisation of urgent works.
* Coordinate contractors, labour, materials and access requirements for facilities activities.
* Raise and track work orders, permits and purchase requests within the maintenance management system.
* Monitor progress of facilities works, reporting on schedule, cost and resource utilisation.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory inspections and regulatory requirements, including fire systems, electrical, structural and access equipment.
* Maintain asset registers, maintenance records and facilities documentation.
* Support facilities shutdowns, refurbishment works and infrastructure improvement projects.
* Drive continuous improvement in facilities planning, scheduling and asset management processes.
Requirements
* Experience in a facilities planning, maintenance planning or facilities coordination role within an industrial, infrastructure, ports, or engineering environment.
* Good understanding of building services, utilities and site infrastructure maintenance.
* Experience working within live operational sites with high safety and compliance requirements.
* Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* Experience using CMMS / CAFM systems (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Concept, Planon, or similar).
* Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with engineers, operations teams and external contractors.
* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
