The Opportunity
As the Accounting Senior Manager, you will take the helm of the accounting team, providing strategic leadership and technical mentorship across both Guernsey and Mauritius. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys a blend of high-level financial reporting and team development within a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
•Strategic Leadership: Leading the accounting service line and managing workflows for teams in Guernsey and Mauritius.
•Financial Excellence: Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
•Client Management: Acting as a key point of contact for a diverse portfolio, ensuring all deliverables meet high-standard client expectations.
•Team Development: Providing training, guidance, and performance management (OKRs) to promote a culture of strong teamwork.
•Business Support: Assisting Directors with new business pitches, proposals, and thought leadership for external publication.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a candidate with a "can-do" attitude and the following credentials:
•Professional Qualification: A relevant accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent proven experience).
•Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of private equity and real estate accounting matters.
•Managerial Experience: Proven track record in supervising, guiding, and coaching staff to reach their full potential.
•Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with high-level boards, investment managers, and auditors.
•Regulatory Savvy: A solid understanding of jurisdictional laws and anti-money laundering regulations.
