The South Cumbria Community Therapy Team seeks a motivated physiotherapist to develop services for residents in Westmorland and Furness, primarily based at Parkview Gardens Intermediate Care Unit, Barrow-in-Furness, with community/home visits.
Main duties
* Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex problems in their homes, community hospital, or residential/nursing homes.
* Manage own caseload autonomously.
* Develop clinical skills through training and personal development.
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and professionals; maintain accurate records.
* Assist in training and education sessions.
* Supervise support staff, assistants, and students.
* Participate in research and audit.
* Oversee clinical education of undergraduates on placement.

Person specification
Education and qualifications
* HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
* Honours Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
* Postgraduate clinical education evidence.
Experience
* Experience as a Staff Grade in core physiotherapy areas.
* Effective communication skills.
* Teamwork experience.
* Community setting experience.
* NHS or UK Social Care experience.
Skills, ability, and knowledge
* Motivated, adaptable, committed.
* Knowledge of team dynamics and physiotherapy roles.
* Legal responsibilities awareness.
* Ability to work independently and confidently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patient motivation skills.
