An established Building & Civil Engineering contractor who, due to a period of sustained growth, has a requirement for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
* Assisting on Sub-Contract agreements to maximise profit
* Attending, contributing to, and minuting Internal Team Meetings
* Keeping master files of correspondence on contract
* Preparing Interim Valuations with Senior Surveyor and agreeing amounts for payment
* Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations
* Valuing variations
* Pricing
* Reporting to Senior Surveyor on job performance via cost/value comparisons
* Preparing Surveying Reports
Qualifications
* BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent (or working towards achieving)
* Relevant industry experience (ideally)
* Good analytical & problem‑solving skills
* A methodical approach
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
