You will lead a team of Social Care Support workers delivering personalised support to older people. This includes meeting all personal care needs, administration of medication and ensuring the security and safety of those in your care and the building. Some experience, which includes personal experience, is preferred, but not essential, as we will offer you training to develop your skills and knowledge whilst doing the job. We do expect you to demonstrate a commitment to your learning and will support you complete SVQ 3. A rotational shift system is in operation which includes weekend working. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
