JOB PURPOSE
1. To deliver and develop our learning and development programme, aligned to our organisation’s objectives
2. To manage a member of the team and be the expert for all learning and development enquiries
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
3. To implement and deliver our learning and development strategy
4. To track, analyse, and take accountability for our learning and development performance indicators
5. To produce timely management reports
6. To actively identify and deliver training needs, through consultation as required
7. To ensure our management development programme delivers a comprehensive framework for developing our managers
8. To negotiate partner contracts, and build and maintain relationships with third-party training providers
9. To understand and contribute to the management of the learning and development budget
10. To manage our learning and development systems to ensure correct up-to-date data, resolution of any issues, and implementation of system enhancements
11. To continually review and develop course content
12. To line manage the learning and development administrator, coaching and supporting them with their day-to-day role and development
13. To own and develop our learning and development policies to ensure they are in line with current legislation and support our working practices, with support from the human resources manager
14. To work as part of the team on other human resources-led initiatives
15. To carry out any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
16. Proven experience as a learning and development professional and implement training programmes a qualification or certification would be advantageous
17. Experience of compiling management information and working to performance indicators
18. Experience of managing others
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
19. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and learning management systems
20. Experience in managing projects and budgets
21. Understanding of training trends and developments in learning technologies
22. Ability to track the performance of training reports and contribute to strategies for staff engagement and improvement
23. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
24. Ability to build rapport with staff and partners
25. Organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and priorities
26. Attention to detail
27. Able to solve problems effectively and efficiently
28. Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Teams and SharePoint
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
29. Basic disclosure and barring service check is a requirement for this role. This would be completed on appointment of the role
30. Full drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
