I am working with a local authority based in the East Midlands area, who have an immediate requirement for an experienced Interim Resolution & Tribunal Officer to work within the SEN Tribunals team. Resolution & Tribunal Officer 3 month initial contract 5 Days per week £380 - 400 per day (DoE) Hybrid (1 day per week onsite) Inside IR35 Start ASAP CVs are being reviewed immediately and interviews will be taking place shortly. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded Local Authority for an experienced Resolution and Tribunal Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in SEND appeals and tribunal representation to join a committed team making a real difference. To be considered for this role, you must have: A proven track record working as a Tribunal Officer within a local authority setting. Recent experience of appeal management from start to finish, including presenting the LA’s case at hearings. A solid understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice. Experience in resolution processes including mediation and stakeholder engagement. The role of the SEND Tribunal Officer is to represent the Council in Tribunal appeals. Responsibilities will include: Considering appeals and assessing case merits. Drafting the Local Authority’s response to appeals. Preparing and collating supporting evidence. Liaising with witnesses and representing the Council at final hearings. Facilitating mediation where appropriate to resolve disputes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Working closely with parents/carers, legal teams, advocates, and educational settings.
