Your Impact

* Directly influence the health, safety and wellbeing culture across major civil engineering projects, including HS2.

About the Opportunity

* Brand‑new position within a growing team, based in Birmingham or Milton Keynes.
* Client‑side work embedded within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) Joint Venture partnership.
* Standalone role with the potential to double the team size and offer exciting career development.
* Report to a senior management team that values boots‑on‑ground experience and proactive engagement.
* Spend ~three days a week on‑site, working with civils contractors to coach teams, influence behaviours, identify risks, support investigations and ensure compliance.
* Scope includes lifting operations, plant safety, occupational health and security assurance.
* Play a key role in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion across all activities.


Here’s what you’ll need

* Passion and a strong presence; self‑assured, collaborative and solutions‑focused.
* Proven experience in health and safety within major infrastructure or complex programmes.
* NEBOSH Construction certificate essential.
* Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety and security legislation.
* Ability to build positive relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
* Professional qualification in Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
* Experience with production and review of technical reports, including assurance and investigation reports.
* Comfortable working around plant and site operations.
* Logical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
