Application Support Consultant

Location: Hybrid (Home-based with occasional travel to Leicester HQ, UK & Europe)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are looking for an Application Support Consultant to join our Consultancy and Support team, providing account management, technical assistance, and functional support to our customers and distributors across our range of business applications.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines customer service, problem-solving, and application knowledge. It would suit someone who enjoys helping others, has a logical and analytical mindset, and takes pride in seeing issues through to resolution.

What You'll Do

As an Application Support Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and ensuring they get the most from our software solutions.

You will:

* Develop a strong understanding of our applications and how different customers use them in their business processes.

* Accept customer and distributor queries by phone or email, recording all details in our Help Desk system.

* Investigate and recreate reported issues, gather additional information as required, and identify possible resolutions or workarounds.

* Collaborate with developers and testers to communicate requirements for fixes or enhancements and verify that issues are resolved.

* Manage and document progress on all support cases, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout.

* Work with new customers during implementation to review their business requirements and assist in configuring the software to meet their needs.

* Document all site visits, maintain issues and action lists, and ensure accurate reporting and traceability.

* Manage small projects from initiation through to completion, coordinating internal resources and maintaining effective communication.

* Support ongoing improvements to help desk processes, documentation, and customer experience.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who is proactive, approachable, and committed to delivering a high standard of customer service. Ideally, you'll have:

* Experience in a software support or application consultancy role.

* An understanding of ERP or other commercial business software solutions.

* Knowledge of the apparel or fashion industry, or other commercial environments.

* Familiarity with Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems.

* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

* Excellent communication and documentation skills, both verbal and written.

* A logical, analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* (Desirable) Experience using Help Desk or ticketing systems.

* (Desirable) Knowledge of accounting or financial applications.
