Overview
Role Overview: A business within the electro-mechanical engineering sector, serving the power industry, is seeking a skilled manual machinist with experience operating milling machines, radial drills, and pillar drills. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication would be an advantage. While industry and workshop experience is preferred, basic training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Operate various machinery, including Guillotine, Hydro Form, Press Brake, and various bending and forming machines.
* Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation.
* Paint and clean assembled products.
* Report to workshop supervisor regarding workload, issues, and risks.
* Carry out maintenance on machinery, ensuring optimal working condition.
* Perform general maintenance on plant and workshop equipment.
* Assist with workshop projects and production activities.
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Basic English and Maths qualifications (minimum GCSE Level 4 / Grade C)
* Basic computer skills
* Experience operating workshop machinery
Benefits
* Salary: £33,611 per year based on 38 hour week.
* Overtime available
* Working hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00–16:30; Friday 08:00–14:00
