This is an exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge electrical design projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead the electrical design process from concept to detailed design and project delivery.
* Produce and review technical documentation, including electrical schematics, SLDs, BCDs, cable schedules, P&IDs, I/O schedules, layouts, and calculations.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, and project engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., BS7671, IEC) and client specifications.
* Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver tailored technical solutions.
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design, preferably in building services or manufacturing sectors.
* Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar.
* Strong expertise in designing LV power and distribution systems.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours
* 37.5 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:00pm; Friday, 7:30am-1:00pm.
* Closed for Bank Holidays and an annual Christmas shutdown until after the New Year.
