We’re looking for a qualified dental nurse to join our team.At Smiles in Tandem, we believe in providing high quality family dental care alongside dental implants, clear aligners and smile rehabilitation, in a way that is sustainable for the plant.Staff are paid from 8.30am to give time for set up and our daily morning huddle before first patients arrive at 9am. Lunch is 1-2pm every day and the last patient usually leaves around 5.15pm with staff paid till 5.30pm to allow time for clean down. We also have emergency slots available every day to minimise the chances of running late.The role is to work 3 days per week- which will be Tuesday, Wednesday and FridayDENTAL NURSE - JOB DESCRIPTIONKeep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate and according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructionsUse all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working orderProvide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is availableEnsure the care and welfare of patientsAccurately complete patient clinical records as directedHandle all substances in accordance with health and safety policiesBe familiar and comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal etcProcess radiographsComplete laboratory request forms, keep records of work sent, received and fittedEnsure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgeryAsk the practice manager if new stock supplies as necessaryEnsure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely storedLiaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of recordsAttend and participate in practice meetingsOther duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice including the duties and tasks of receptionist as requiredUndergo training as may be required to develop skills and abilitiesAttend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPRAct in accordance with the practice rules and code of conductOther duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice including the duties and tasks of a receptionistJob Types: Part Time, PermanentSalary: Up to £13.30 per hourJob Types: Part-time, PermanentPay: From £13.30 per hourExpected hours: 24 per weekBenefits:* Additional leave* Company events* Company pension* Employee discount* Free parkingWork Location: In person
